Granular limestone is available in 20kg bags. The product is mainly used in landscaping. Ask for it at your local gardening center.
Granular limestone is generally more useful on a mature and well maintained soil. This is because of the much larger particle size; it takes about three years to break down completely into the soil. If your pH levels are consistent, spreading granular limestone annually will ensure your soil quality remains high.
Mosher's agricultural limestone will not burn and therefore can be applied at any time. The best spreaders for applying Mosher limestone are the drop style spreaders. These spreaders minimize dusting and apply an even coat. When applying, it is best to make two applications with the second perpendicular to the first. This ensures an even coat with no missed areas on your lawn.
